Alumni Story of the Week

Redefining the spiritual landscape through AI and deep tech

In a world increasingly powered by algorithms and automation, spirituality may seem like the last frontier untouched by technology. Yet, for a visionary alumni of IIT Kharagpur, it is precisely where innovation and tradition converge.

Meet Mr. Kallol Konar, M.Tech, Chemical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur and Dr. Nilima Roy Chowdhury, Clinical Research, Cranfield University, the dynamic duo behind Nirvana Nilima Wellness Private Limited—a pioneering force in what we call “Faithtech.” Their flagship platform, BlessMe, is setting a new benchmark for spiritual engagement, recently earning the coveted Startup Maharathi Award in the AI, DeepTech & Cyber category among over 2,600 DPIIT-recognized startups. The award, presented by Hon’ble Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India during the Startup Mahakumbh 2.0 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on April 5, 2024, marks a milestone not just for the startup but for a new era where technology meets transcendence.

A Leap of Faith—Backed by Tech

At its heart, BlessMe is a bold attempt to digitize and democratize spiritual rituals, seamlessly connecting seekers with sacred services via WhatsApp—no app downloads, no complexity, just divine convenience. From live-streamed pujas and havans to prasad tracking and customized ritual bookings in under 45 seconds, BlessMe delivers tradition with a modern twist. It is a dedicated platform offering authentic and inclusive Multi Religious services, bridging tradition with modern convenience. Rooted in faith and devotion, it provides online and in-person religious ceremonies, guided by experienced religious experts. Its mission is to make sacred rituals accessible to everyone, ensuring authenticity, transparency, and reverence in every service. Whether at home or at revered religious sites, it help individuals and families connect with their faith path, fostering peace, blessings, and divine harmony in their lives.

BlessMe is a multi-faith spiritual platform committed to making sacred rituals and spiritual services accessible to individuals and families around the world—online or in person. Rooted in authenticity, inclusivity, and devotion, BlessMe offers guided prayers, ceremonies, and religious services conducted by carefully vetted priests, spiritual guides, and scholars from diverse faith traditions. Whether it’s a Hindu puja, Christian prayer service, Islamic dua, Sikh kirtan, Buddhist chanting, or any other tradition, it honours each with the utmost respect and accuracy. The platform ensures a seamless experience from effortless booking and transparent communications to live-streamed rituals and personalized offerings—bridging ancient traditions with modern convenience. At BlessMe, the founders believe spirituality should be universal, approachable, and deeply meaningful—no matter where you are or what path you follow.

Central to this experience is SamAI—a multilingual, voice-enabled chatbot integrated with the Government of India’s Bhashini project, ensuring that every interaction remains accessible, authentic, and inclusive.

““BlessMe is the Faithtech vertical of Nirvana Nilima Wellness, built with the mission to bridge spirituality and technology. We aim to make Multi religious and spiritual rituals accessible globally with a seamless digital experience. Whether it’s a havan at home or a puja at a sacred shrine, BlessMe ensures authenticity  with convenience, powered by smart tech and soulful intent,” says Mr. Konar, Founder & CEO of BlessMe and Alumnus of IIT Kharagpur
