IIT Kharagpur ranked 2nd in India; 23rd in Asia & 202nd in the World in the latest QS World University Rankings Sustainability 2025

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has ranked 2nd in India in the latest QS World University Rankings Sustainability 2025. The institute jumped ahead 147 places and 41 places in comparison to its 2024 performance to become 202nd in the World and 23rd in Asia respectively. The first and the largest IIT of the country ranked 2nd among all IITs of the country in the QS World University Rankings Sustainability 2025.

The World University Ranking 2025 by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) featured overall 1751 Institutions from all over the world. IIT Kharagpur has performed well in parameters like Environmental research; Environmental Sustainability; Knowledge Exchange; Employability and Opportunities and Governance.
