Prof. Amit Patra, currently the Director of IIT BHU takes over the Additional Charge of the Director, IIT Kharagpur until the regular incumbent takes over or till further orders, whichever is earlier. The institute appreciates the excellent services rendered by Prof. V K Tewari, Outgoing Director, IIT Kharagpur who was the Professor of IIT Kharagpur in the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering. Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur welcomes its new Deputy Director, Professor Amit Patra from the Department of Electrical Engineering. Prof Patra has assumed the charge as Deputy Director from June 30, 2021.
